My name is Betsy Jeatran, and it is my good fortune to be the fourth grade homeroom teacher, and the fourth and fifth grade language arts teacher. I received my Bachelors of Science degree from Bradley University and my Masters of Science degree from Indiana University. I am also a certified mentor for teachers throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. I enjoy teaching and work hard to instill in my students a love for learning.<br /><br />The fourth grade is an important year. It is when students transition from learning how to read to the process of reading to learn. The effect of falling behind in this critical skill can have far reaching effects. It is also through being a strong reader that children develop strong written and oral communication skills. My goal is to instill within each student an interest and understanding of all areas of language arts.
